We may also collect contact information needed to communicate with you about your submission even when that information is not displayed publicly.

HWL Connect is a public directory.

If your listing is approved, information submitted for publication may be displayed publicly and may be searchable by visitors.

Public information may include your name, business or organization, professional information, general location or service area, photograph or logo, biography, skills, services, website, social media links, and other information you choose to include.

Please do not submit information for publication that you do not want made publicly available.

Public directory information may be viewed, shared, copied, or indexed by search engines and other third parties outside our control.

HWL Connect may use location information to help visitors discover businesses, organizations, initiatives, professionals, and resources by geographic area.

Individuals and home-based businesses should generally provide a city, region, or service area rather than a private residential address.

An exact street address should be submitted only when it is a location you intentionally want the public to identify or visit, such as a public storefront, office, organization, or other publicly accessible location.

Our website platform and service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information when you visit HWL Connect. This may include:

• IP address;
• browser and device information;
• pages visited;
• dates and times of visits;
• referring pages; and
• general website usage information.

Cookies or similar technologies may be used for website functionality, security, analytics, mapping, and performance.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, passwords, medical records, immigration documents, information about children, or other confidential or highly sensitive personal information.

You should generally submit information about yourself, your own business or organization, or an entity you are authorized to represent.

If you submit personal information, photographs, or other content concerning another person, you are responsible for having appropriate permission to provide that information for publication.

We may use third-party service providers for website hosting, databases, mapping, analytics, security, communications, and other technical functions needed to operate HWL Connect.

These providers may process limited information as necessary to provide their services.

HWL Connect may also contain links to third-party websites, social media profiles, businesses, organizations, or other services. We do not control their privacy, security, content, or practices.

We do not sell personal information submitted to HWL Connect for monetary payment.

We do not authorize the HWL Connect directory to be copied or used as a purchased mailing list, bulk solicitation list, or lead database.

If you have a listing on HWL Connect, you may request that we correct, update, or remove it.

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the person making the request is the individual listed or is authorized to act on behalf of the listed business or organization.

Following a verified removal request, we will take reasonable steps to remove the listing from the active directory.

Information previously indexed, cached, archived, copied, downloaded, or independently collected by search engines or other third parties may remain outside our control.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate HWL Connect, administer listings, maintain appropriate records, address security or legal concerns, and comply with applicable obligations.

We may retain limited records concerning previous submissions, permissions, updates, or removal requests when reasonably necessary.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain to help protect information under our control.

No website, database, transmission method, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

HWL Connect is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 for directory listings.

If we learn that such information has been submitted without appropriate authorization, we may remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as HWL Connect develops or as our technology, services, or practices change.

The current version will be posted on HWL Connect with an updated Last Updated date.
